Product Overview

Manufactured in Hutchinson, MN

Your craft room's new center.

A rolling worksurface big enough for two — with four columns of customizable storage on both sides. Pick your height, fill your columns, and lock the casters wherever inspiration strikes.

Watch the demo

See it in action.

A quick walkthrough of the BCO Craft Island — how the four-column storage works, how it rolls, and how it fits into a real craft room.

A workspace for two.

The 29-1/2"× 47-1/2" top is roomy enough for two crafters to spread out side by side — perfect for shared sessions with a friend, daughter, or grandchild. Sturdy enough to hold die cutters, presses, and project mats without flexing.

Storage on both sides.

Four columns total — two on each side — that you fill however you like with drawers, paper shelves, or adjustable shelves. Up to 120 storage slots in a single piece. Reach for what you need from either side of the island, no walking around required.

Rolls where you work.

Locking casters on every island let you reposition it for natural light, share the worksurface with a friend, or tuck it against a wall when not in use. Lock the wheels in place when you've found the perfect spot.

Reconfigure anytime

Slide drawers and shelves in and out as your craft evolves.

Built to last

3/4" thermofused melamine — strong enough to hold die cutters and presses on top.

Manufactured in MN

Built at BCO HQ in Hutchinson. Ships in approximately one week.

Four columns. Endless layouts.

The Craft Island has two columns on each side — four total. Each column is a stack of vertical slots that you fill with whatever your craft needs. Every drawer or shelf takes up a specific number of slots, so you can plan each column exactly. Change it later just by sliding pieces in and out.

Paper shelves are special: a stack of paper shelves needs the top slot left open to access the slanted top shelf. So a Bar Height column (30 slots) holds up to 29 paper shelves, not 30. The slanted access makes 12×12 paper instantly grabbable.

★★★★★

"I purchased the counter height because I am 5'2 and it is a perfect height for me. I love the 4 sections that you can customize with drawers, paper shelves, or a regular shelf or a mix to satisfy your needs. The wheels are an asset as I can move it easily if I need to. Love it!!!"

Common questions.

How do I choose between Counter and Bar height?
Counter height (35-1/2") works comfortably for sitting at a standard chair or stool. Bar height (42-1/4") is designed for standing or for tall stools. If you'll mostly sit while crafting, choose Counter. If you prefer to stand at your worksurface — or want to move comfortably between sitting and standing — choose Bar. Bar height also gives you 6 more slots per column (120 total vs 96).
Can the casters really hold the weight of a fully loaded island?
Yes. The casters are heavy-duty and designed to roll smoothly under a fully loaded island, then lock firmly in place when you've found your spot. Move it across hard floors with one hand.
Will 12×12 scrapbook paper fit in a drawer?
No — drawers taper slightly which makes them too tight for 12" paper. For paper storage, use our Paper Shelves instead — they're designed specifically for slanted 12×12 access.
How sturdy is the worksurface?
Sturdy enough for die cutters, embossing machines, presses, and project mats. The 3/4" thermofused melamine top resists scratching, marring, and flexing.
How long does assembly take?
Most customers complete an island in about 60-90 minutes with a screwdriver. All hardware is included and holes are pre-drilled. Two pairs of hands make it faster — having a friend help with the larger panels speeds things up. Counter height instructions → · Bar height instructions →
